March 4, 2008

NISL would like to thank everyone who was able to (and brave enough to) get out in the latest Indiana winter storm to attend the meeting.  Despite the weather, we still had a great turnout.

NISL would also like to thank Ken Harkenrider for his presentation: Positive Coaching Alliance.

Additional quick points to remember:

1.  All teams must mail a signed Code of Conduct to NISL c/o Angel Hall, 919 E Center Street, Warsaw, IN  46580 - Prior to the first game of the season.

2.  U14 and under team that participated in NISL in the fall of 2007, do NOT need to fill out an additional Code of Conduct.  If you have added players, simply fill out a form for the new players and send it in before the season begins.

3. Review the 3 rule changes that are listed in the Meeting Presentation (Substitution, Uniform Color, and U09/U10 goalie ball distribution).

4.  Remember to report scores on-line by Monday morning.  Please verify score with opponent and referee BEFORE you leave the game.

5.  Risk Management - Identity Theft Concern - Remember to keep your team binder safely locked in your car or on your person during the games.  The information in the binder needs only to be available if questioned or called for by the referee for verification. (The player cards must be at the field and presented to the referee before every game.)

Everyone who attended the meeting received a personal first-aid kit and a specially designed player card storage pouch with the NISL logo screened on it.  At the end of the presentation, about 18 of the attendees were the winners of folding "soccer" chairs - also with the NISL logo.  One lucky winner - Tony Hrizco from Junior Irish Soccer Club - also won $100 to take back to his club treasury.  Congratulations to our prize winners!
